How often do I need to change my baby's cloth nappy?

Generally, younger babies need changing more often than older babies.  This is because they tend to do more frequent poos and therefore need changing more regularly.  Newborns usually need approximately 8-10 nappy changes per day.

As baby gets older, and poos less frequently, they need an average of 6 changes per day.  Generally we recommend changing your baby's cloth nappy every 3 hours or less.  If your baby sleeps through overnight, it is not necessary to change 3-hourly overnight.  Simply make sure you choose an ultra absorbent nappy (like our bamboo fitted nappies!) and boost if required.  You'll get through about 13 hours without needing a change! Of course, the nappy is likely to be very wet in the morning.  Tip:  Sprinkle pure cornstarch over baby's nappy region before putting nappy on.....this will help keep them dry :o)
