What age and size does the Nippers Nappy fit?+
The Nippers Nappy is designed for kids from around 3 years old up to a 65cm waist (roughly ages 3–10, depending on your child's size). If your child is near the top of that range now, we'd recommend ordering sooner rather than later, since there's no size up from here.
What's included in the Nippers Cloth Nappy Trial Pack?+
This pack includes 2 x Nippers Cloth Nappy, 2 x Hemp Boosters and 2 x Cheeks Bamboo Boosters, so you can mix and match absorbency across both nappies and find what actually works for your child before committing to a full stash.
What's the difference between the Hemp Booster and the Cheeks Bamboo Booster?+
The Hemp Booster (55% hemp, 45% organic cotton terry) is our highest-absorbency option, best for heavy wetters or overnight use. The Cheeks Bamboo Booster is 3 layers of soft bamboo/organic cotton fleece — a lighter, everyday option that suits daytime use or lighter wetters.
Do I need a separate waterproof cover?+
No. Unlike our Fitted or Night Nappies, the Nippers Nappy has a built-in waterproof PUL outer shell, so it works as a complete nappy on its own with no extra cover required.
Is the Nippers Nappy suitable for nighttime and bedwetting?+
Yes. Many families use the Nippers Nappy specifically for nighttime leaks and bedwetting in kids aged 3–5 and up. Pairing it with the Hemp Booster gives you the most absorbency for overnight use.
Is this nappy suitable for special needs or continence care?+
Yes, the Nippers Nappy is designed for both older kids and children with ongoing continence needs, including special needs use, for day or night.
Can I use this for NDIS claims?+
We're not a registered NDIS provider, but we're happy to provide a tax invoice with your order, which self-managed NDIS participants can use for their own claims. We'd recommend checking your plan management type against current NDIS guidelines before you purchase to confirm eligibility.
Is the fabric suitable for sensory-sensitive children?+
The inner lining is a soft micro fleece, which many parents of sensory-sensitive kids find more comfortable than stiffer disposable materials. We haven't formally tested the nappy for sensory-processing conditions, so we'd suggest trialling the pack first to see how your own child responds.
How do I wash and care for the Nippers Nappy?+
Dry pail between changes (no soaking needed), a short pre-wash cycle, then a full main wash at 40–60°C. Line dry, or tumble dry on low. See our full washing guide on the Advice Hub for more detail.
Can I use my own inserts instead of the included boosters?+
Yes. The Nippers Nappy has a deep pocket, so any absorbent insert you already have works too — prefolds, fold-ups, terry flats or muslin flats — alongside our Hemp or Cheeks Bamboo Boosters.
Is this nappy discreet enough for school or outings?+
Yes. It's designed to sit closer to the body with an adjustable, lower-bulk fit than bulkier overnight disposables, and the waterproof outer keeps everything fully contained.
