The night nappy
struggles every parent knows
You've tried everything for dry nights. Heavy wetters need more than a standard cover can offer. Here's what keeps parents stuck — and why wool changes everything for overnight.
Wet sheets at 3am — again
Your little one is a heavy wetter and standard covers can't always keep up overnight. The moisture finds a way out, and suddenly everyone's awake. Wool absorbs up to 40% of its weight without feeling wet — adding an extra layer of protection.
"My baby runs hot at night"
Some babies sleep warm, and synthetic covers can make it worse. Wool regulates temperature naturally — cool in summer, warm in winter. It breathes even when damp, keeping baby comfortable through the night.
"I want natural fibres against baby's skin"
If going all-natural is important to you, wool is the answer. 100% Australian Merino — no polyester, no polyurethane, no synthetic chemicals. Just pure natural fibre, as soft as a hug.
"Wool sounds hard to care for"
It's actually the easiest cover you'll own. Lanolised wool self-neutralises urine — just air dry between uses. Wash every 3-4 weeks. No daily washing. No daily drying. One 5-minute lanolise session a month.
One cover.
Dry nights sorted.
Pull it on over your night nappy like a pair of shorts. Wool does the rest. Here's the simple 4-step routine that thousands of parents swear by.
Wash & Lanolise
A quick soak with Lanolin Magic Balm waterproofs the wool naturally. Soak for a few hours once a month to refresh the water proofing.
Pull Up Over Night Nappy
Just like pulling on a pair of shorts. Super stretch merino interlock fits over any fitted — even the bulkiest night setups. Big booty safe.
Sleep. All Night.
Wool repels moisture back into the nappy, regulates temperature, and keeps clothes and bedding completely dry until morning.
Air Dry & Repeat
Hang to air during the day. No washing needed — lanolised wool self-neutralises urine. Just alternate between two covers.
Wool Cover vs PUL Cover
Which one's right for you?
Both are great covers — we make them both. Here's how they compare so you can pick the best fit for your family.

💡 Pro tip from our team: Many families use PUL covers during the day and switch to wool for overnight. It's the best of both worlds.
What parents
actually say
"This is the first wool cover we have tried and I am now converted. I did 3x lanolising initially and haven't had any issues with leaks overnight."

Lanolin Magic Balm
Everything you need to know
Is lanolising hard?
Nope. Melt a 1/2 teaspoon amount of pure 100% lanolin in warm water with a dash of fabric softner to emulsify, soak for 3-4 hours minutes, squeeze out, and dry. Takes 5 minutes of active time. Do it every 3-4 weeks.
Will it fit over my bulky night nappy?
Yes. Our custom merino wool interlock stretches in both directions. It fits over terry flats, hemp fitted nappies, bamboo fitted nappies — even the chunkiest night setups. We call it Big Booty Safe for a reason.
Can I machine wash it?
Yes — gentle cycle, cold water, inside a delicates bag with wool wash. Or hand wash in cool water with soap flakes. Re-lanolise after washing.
How many do I need?
Two is the sweet spot. Alternate nightly — one on baby, one airing. This gives you a rotation that means you rarely need to wash.
Won't it make my baby too hot in summer?
The opposite. Wool is naturally thermoregulating — it breathes and wicks moisture, keeping baby cooler than synthetic covers. It's one of the top reasons parents switch to wool for overnight.
Is it really self-cleaning?
Almost. Lanolin in the wool reacts with urine to create a natural soap that neutralises odour. Just air dry between uses. Wash when it starts to smell (every 3-4 weeks) or if soiled.
Should I use wool or PUL for daytime?
Most families use PUL during the day (easy wash, waterproof, no special care) and switch to wool for overnight when breathability and extra absorbency matter most. It's the best of both worlds — and we make both.
