Once upon a nappy change…Back in 2004, our founder Davina was a new mum with a big heart and an even bigger pile of disposable nappies. She couldn’t stand the thought of sending thousands of those plastic nappies to landfill — so she grabbed her sewing machine and stitched up a better way. Baby BeeHinds was born right there at the kitchen table, fuelled by coffee, determination, and a deep passion for protecting the planet.
Fast forward 21 years, and Baby BeeHinds has grown into one of Australia’s most loved reusable nappy brands. But at our core, we’re still that same eco-conscious little brand, helping families make small, sustainable swaps that add up to a big difference.
I’m Leanne, the current owner of Baby BeeHinds for almost 14 years now. My story is a little different – when my first baby was born I honestly didn’t even consider cloth nappies. I didn’t know they even existed – like most Millennials I thought cloth nappies were the old school terry flats and giant pins that needed bleach soaking so it wasn’t something I ever considered until Harry was about 2 years old. A girlfriend was showing me the Baby BeeHinds Bamboo Fitted Nappy and I was gobsmacked – it felt so soft and so luxurious compared to the plastics Huggies I was using and I was hooked! Harry was in cloth nappies until night trained at the age of 5, and Isla we used Baby BeeHinds full time. Needless to say, the opportunity came up to buy the business and considering I had fallen in love with the products, it was meant to be.

We are wholly Australian owned and managed, and our entire range is designed right here in Australia. Our team have been quietly leading the eco-warrior space for years before it became trendy making Australis Best Reusable Nappies for 21 years.
Since then, we’ve continually worked to improve our designs, materials and fit, as well as upping the style factors with both on-trend and classic colours and prints. What does all this mean for you? There’s never been a better time to join us in.

We can proudly say we are one of the only cloth nappy brands in the world who has worked with the same factory for almost 21 years. Our factory is European owned and managed and have been are the forefront of reusable nappy technology for over 40 years. Like us, they truly value their staff. With a staff of 35. many of whom are long term employees & who we know most by name now, 3 sewing lines deep and and some of the toughest quality control steps in place we adore the partnership we have developed and wear our ‘made in china’ badge with pride.
Our factory have led the way in garment production for staff incentives, paid schooling for children, 32% higher wages and not to mention their solar powered premises years ago before it was trendy.

Since the very beginning we have always chosen the premium end of town. We have NEVER comprised on the quality of our fabrics, the craftsmanship or customer service. We knew that if we made products that last, customers would keep coming back. Are we perfect, no, but we are close and do our very best to rectify any issues if they arise. We have customers that have used our nappies for YEARS on their multiple babies, so we really have stood the lest of time for many tears.
