Just got your new Fitted nappies, but not sure how to fold the long & short inserts? .. Here is some pictures to help you on your way .. remember there is no right or wrong way of doing the folds and don’t be afraid to mix it up and try different folds until you get one that works for your babies shape. Also remember as they grow, absorbency requirements change so although you only may need the long insert now, in 6 months you might need the short one too!
Another quick tip for using Fitted Nappies! .. before you lay bub down, have your cover & fitted ready to go first. When Im taking my nappies off the line or putting away, I make up my fitted combo folded ready to go. Lay down your PUL cover open, lay your fitted nappy on top of the cover (snapped into the right size, with the inserts snapped & folded into place), then close the PUL cover around the nappy. Then when its change time, you don’t have to fiddle around with two pieces. Simply open the PUL cover, open the layers of the fitted, lay bub down. Do up the Fitted. Do up the PUL cover. Done. Easy. Quick.

Snap long insert into front snaps & fold in 3. Position so the 3 layers are at the front of nappy.

Snap small insert into rear snaps, then lay on top or under the folded long insert.

Snap long insert into front snaps. Fold the end of the long insert back half way down the insert. So you have 3 layers of the long insert in the middle.
Optional: Add the short insert to the back.
OR swap positions of both inserts & fold accordingly.
